Steve is originally from North Yorkshire in the UK. He has been to art school, worked in steel mills, supermarkets, and hotel kitchens; he’s collected garbage, named a band, built a car, and photographed rock concerts. He also spent 22 years on the dark side of commerce – working in advertising… Steve moved to the USA in 2001 and returned to making art. He is a member of the McGuffey Art Center, he worked at the Corcoran in DC for a while, and is now Director of Second Street Gallery – Charlottesville’s leading contemporary nonprofit art space.
