New Collectors Roundtable and Silent Auction! Brought to you by Second Street Gallery, The Mad Toms Society & the Office of the Provost & the Vice Provost for the Arts

What does it mean to start an art collection? Join us at Second Street Gallery for a cocktail mixer and roundtable discussion, and learn about making the leap from being an art appreciator to an art collector. Our panelists will offer their unique perspectives on buying art on a budget, collecting in innovative ways, and a variety of other topics, arming you with the knowledge you need to start a collection of your own. A silent auction will follow the discussion, giving you a unique opportunity to begin your collection right then and there. The works will range in price, so there will be something for everyone's budget!

Panelists include:

Jennifer Farrell, Curator of Exhibitions at the Fralin Museum of Art
Tosha Grantham, Curator at Second Street Gallery
Amanda Smith, Creative Framing and The Art Box
Steve Taylor, Director of Second Street Gallery
Paden Waldruff, collector and Founder of Equity Financial Services
