The Tom Tom Foundation is a not for profit which hosts two seasonal public festivals that celebrate new ideas and community in Charlottesville, VA.
The spring festival takes place over Founders weekend (2014 dates are April 10-13) on the historic Downtown Mall. This past spring’s festival assembled 13,500 attendees for 5 block parties, 50 speakers, 60 concerts, and pitch competitions that seeded start-up businesses with over $176,000. Tomtoberfest in the Fall expands these events to the historic grounds of the University of Virginia.
The Foundation exists to educate the public about entrepreneurship and innovation, proceeds fund the creation of public art.
