Peter Quail graduated from the University of Toronto in 1978 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering specializing in structural design.  Over his 36 year career, he has worked in the complete spectrum of the Precast Concrete Industry. From graduation until 1987, he practiced as a Consulting Engineer specializing in the design of Precast Concrete structures for a number of Precast Companies in North America and the Mid East. From 1987 until 1996, he worked in Operations Management roles for both the production and construction of Precast Concrete products and systems.  From 1996 to 2009, Mr. Quail held progressively more senior positions at Pre-Con Ltd., a Lafarge company and one of the largest Precast Concrete companies in Canada, which included the role of President and General Manager as of 2003.  With the sale of Pre-Con to Armtec Ltd. in 2009, he became the Vice President Central Region for Armtec.

Mr. Quail is now Vice President Precast Concrete, Innovation / Industrial Segment for Lafarge.  This global position supports the new Lafarge focus on creating an Innovative Culture by becoming closer to End User market drivers and expanding the Value Proposition offered to Customers.  The purpose of this position is to provide international support and advice in the development of innovative solutions that make Lafarge’s Precast Concrete Customers more successful.  The agreement entered into between Lafarge and Solidia Technologies in 2013 is a prime example of the development of innovative materials and new production methods that enhance the position of Precast Concrete in the marketplace.

Peter will speak on Integrating Innovation into Industry.
