Mary Wolf is the founder of Wild Wolf Brewing Company in Nelson County VA. Located in the heart of the ‘Brew Ridge Trail,’ Wild Wolf has distinguished itself with an emphasis on sustainability and eco-friendly brewing practices. From locally sourced ingredients - including an onsite hop farm - to the decision to can their beer, Wild Wolf continues to prove their commitment to the environment as well as the evolution of the Virginia craft beer industry.

One of a few female brewery owners in the country, Mary had an unconventional journey to Wild Wolf. Graduating with both a BS in Computer Science and an MBA, she spent 25 years in the business arena working for Lexis Nexis and AOL, as well as starting and selling her own Internet commerce company. After serving as VP of New Products, Mary retired from AOL in March of 2001.

Nearly 10 years later Mary teamed up with son Danny to pursue a business opportunity through their shared love of craft beer. With Mary’s strategic vision paired with Danny’s brewing expertise, Wild Wolf Brewing Company was opened in its currently location on November 11, 2011. The company has enjoyed tremendous growth since its inception, featuring a charming restaurant and a brewing capacity of 5500 barrels per year.
