Ryan Jacoby is the founder of Machine, a strategy and innovation company. Working across industries, Machine helps companies big and small to grow by conceiving and designing new ventures, services, and products through the best approaches from design, business, and ventures. Ryan is also a Venture Advisor at the Collaborative Fund, a venture firm based in New York City, and teaches in the IxD Masters program at the School of Visual Arts.

Prior to founding his new firm, he was a founding member and location head of the IDEO New York office and built the Business Design discipline at the firm.

Ryan holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Stanford University. He is often referred to as the first “graduate” from Stanford’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

Ryan loves to read. He hates to go running, but he loves to come back from running.
