Tom joined Solidia Technologies in November 2011 as President and CEO to lead the company towards global commercialization.

As a business innovator Tom has led two global businesses with revenue in excess of $1billion. As Global Business Director of DuPont’s Tyvek® business, Tom redefined product offerings in a diverse range of markets from medical packaging and envelopes, to protective apparel and construction products that resulted in over $100million of revenue growth.  Tom’s broad business experience provides a global perspective in R&D, plant process and product development, financial and strategic management and a range of sales and marketing roles.

Tom was a member of DuPont’s Growth and Sustainability Boards, as well as the World Business Council’s Board for Sustainable Development. He has spoken in the Americas, Europe and Asia to international trade and sustainable growth groups, sharing his corporate and personal advocacy of sustainability, not only as a societal necessity, but one that is consistent with future business prosperity

Tom has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Virginia and graduate study in Finance and Marketing from The University of Richmond and Widener University in Geneva.  He continues to support innovation, energy and achievement serving on the Alumni Advisory Council and Jefferson Scholar selection committee for the University of Virginia.
