"I picked up a guitar for the first time at the very young age of 4 years old, and started seriously playing at 6. As long as I can remember, I've been singing and writing songs. Music is like second nature to me, and is the most beautiful thing in my life. I think of music as a positive outlet for negative emotion, and it's wonderful to be able to have to talent to express myself in such a great way. My first performance was in a Kindergarten talent show, and since then, I've been all over. Whether it's featuring on a song by my father's rap group, singing karaoke with my mother, playing an open mic with my non-blood extended family of regulars, performing at the Music Resource Center, or playing my own shows at different varieties of venues."
