David Lourie is the Head of School at St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He earned a B. A. in history from Yale University in 1993 and holds an M. A. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia University’s Teachers College.

David began his tenure as Head of School at St. Anne’s-Belfield School in 2006.  In his role as CEO of the School, he has worked with the Board of Trustees on its Campaign for Our Next Century, a $40 million capital campaign to raise endowment and support the construction of a new 100,000 plus square foot K – 8 Learning Village, which achieved LEED Gold certification.  The campaign eventually raised over $44 million in gifts and pledges.  In addition to his administrative duties, David remains committed to the academic and extracurricular life of the School.  He teaches a section of History in the Upper School.

He is married to Sarah and they have two children, Jacob and Rebecca, eighth and fifth graders respectively at St. Anne’s-Belfield School.
