Crystal Mario is the founder and CEO of Rivanna Natural Designs, Inc., a certified B Corp and Virginia Benefit Corporation.  Based in Charlottesville, Rivanna is a leading manufacturer of eco awards, plaques and gifts with customers in 48 states.  Since its inception in 2001, Rivanna’s mission has been to create living-wage, green jobs in central Virginia for recently-arrived refugees and others who need them most. Prior to founding the company in 2001, Mario was a software industry executive at Epicor Software, Frame Technology (now Adobe Systems), and Xerox Imaging Systems. Mario’s board and community work includes 8 years as a member of the Community Advisory Committee for IRC Charlottesville, 5 years with the board of Montana-based Wildlands CPR, and 2 years with the board of Canadian Physicians for Aid & Relief (USA).  She has a BA in English from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada and an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
