Chris is a native of Washington, D.C. A member of the Choptico Band of Piscataway Indians, his family has been in the D.C. area since the last ice age or so. He studied computer science at the University of Maryland, College Park and worked as a software engineer and technical manger as various consulting outfits before launching a permaculture farm with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. He and his wife, Annie, reside in Earlysville, Virginia.
