Brynne Potter is a midwife from Charlottesville. After 15 years of clinical practice, she founded a technology start up to help improve her quality of care and services to women and families.  Maternity Neighborhood is a family of products that work either together or independently on a common platform to deliver a friendly experience for providers and patients. The company was recognized by the Institute of Medicine as one of the top 50 digital health innovations of 2012 and also won a Health 2.0 challenge for the integration of US Health Indicators data into the clinical workflow of their Electronic Health Record. Brynne has consulted with the World Health Organization on the use of person centered technology for maternity care delivery in low resource settings and works with various stakeholder organizations in the US and internationally to address data harmonization for quality improvement in maternity care.
