Sandy Reisky is the founder and CEO of Apex Clean Energy, an independent renewable energy company based in Charlottesville, VA. His companies have developed over $1 billion of wind and solar facilities now operating around the country.
Since its founding in 2009, Apex has become one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry. In December 2012, Apex completed the development and construction of a 300 MW wind project outside Oklahoma City.
Sandy is also founder and president of Greenlight Energy, a leading independent wind energy company that was acquired by BP in 2006. In addition, he founded Axio Power, a utility-scale solar developer; Columbia Power Technologies, a pioneer in wave energy technology; and Greenlight Biofuels, a waste-to-energy company.
In 2013 he was presented with the Leadership in Energy Award at The Keystone Center’s 20th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner honoring leaders who create solutions to society's pressing challenges.
