Workshop: Permaculture

A special workshop from the Blue Ridge Permaculture Network and the Charlottesville Trade School. Create abundance in your home and community using the tools and techniques of permaculture – a system of ecological design based on natural patterns to build sustainable gardens, homes, and neighborhoods. Permaculture employs strategies and tools to improve soil, grow food, create edible forest gardens and perennial polycultures, harvest water, utilize renewable energy and regenerative building techniques.

The Charlottesville Trade School is hosting a special series of classes during the month of Tom Tom focused on the principles of Tom Tom: Art, Innovation and Music! Specifically, the Trade School is helping re-imagine the way we think about education. For the past year, the Trade School has turned seemingly ordinary spaces into energized classrooms where friends, neighbors, co-workers, and strangers share skills and good company. They put a twist on education with a work + play mentality. Rather than paying for instruction, students sign up to learn new trades by meeting the teacher’s barter requests—anything from a dozen free range eggs, a good book, mixed CDs/TAPES, a random act of kindness, tools, to an original work of art! The trade school is a forum for exchange.

BARTER REQUESTS FOR THE PERMACULTURE WORKSHOP:
Plants (for the veggie, herb or flower garden), canned goodies, or give someone else a hand in their garden
