BARTERING IS BACK

In an effort to support alternative currencies and the ways we think about education, "The Charlottesville Trade School will be hosting a special series of classes during the month of Tom Tom focused on the principles of Tom Tom: Art, Innovation and Music!

For the past year, the Trade School has turned seemingly ordinary spaces into energized classrooms where friends, neighbors, co-workers, and strangers share skills and good company. They put a twist on education with a work + play mentality. Rather than paying for instruction, students sign up to learn new trades by meeting the teacher’s barter requests—anything from a dozen free range eggs, a good book, mixed CDs/TAPES, a random act of kindness, tools, to an original work of art! The trade school is a forum for exchange.

Thursday's session is "Designer Diet Workshop" by Ivana Kadija of Yourishment

Ivana is an AADP certified nutritional and health counselor, school lunch advocate and parent. She received training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, studying more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Ivana's profession is to help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

This workshop will help you to figure out your personal nutrient breakdown and activity levels and how to optimize their energy, health and physique.
