You hear a verbal cue and commence an hour of creative activity, composing a poem that your peers will hear you perform. And will vote accordingly!
Tom Tom is partnering with Para Coffee, Presence and Verbs & Vibe to present a Poetry Writing Contest like none other. At 6:30pm, Tom Tom transforms into a literary factory complete with pens, paper, and an eclectic collection of vintage typewriters! After a prompt is presented, you, poet, will have exactly one hour to compose an original piece extrapolated from said prompt.
At the conclusion of the hour, writers will read their work.
Audience favorites will be determined. Poems will also be judged overnight, with the winning piece displayed on the wall at Para Coffee for a week.
